Electroless nickel vs. electroplated nickel
Electroplated nickel uses an external DC power supply, a connected workpiece, and anodes. Current density changes across part geometry, so edges can build differently from recesses.
Electroless nickel deposits through a controlled chemical reaction without external plating current. That can give more even coverage on complex geometry when the bath contacts the entire prepared surface. It still needs strict temperature, pH, loading, and cleaning control.
Choose based on the part, the equipment you have, and the finish you want—not on the idea that one process is always better.
